The Mayors’ Office Meeting, 8-31-10

After a meeting with the Mayor’s Office early in the Fall Semester, we are confident that our project takes a realistic sustainable approach. Our project is on a parallel road with our Mayors’ environmental agenda. A recent meeting with the Mayor’s Office illustrated that our project is progressing in the same route as current New York City legislation which serves to address environmental concerns. Our project was highlighted as a positive potential for the growing population of New York City. We were also informed that our approach directs many urban dilemmas, such as overcrowding, air pollution, storm water management, and the heat island effect. Our project doesn’t take on a simple aesthetic approach. We are directing our design to pave the way for a greener future that the next generation can subsist in.
