High School Students Presentation

Part of the Solar Decathlon competition judges the team for its communication effort. While this website is a part of the communication, our team wants to spread the importance of sustainability and green design to a broader audience. Recently, Architecture and Engineering students of Team New York recently made a presentation to the students at the High School of Math, Science, and Engineering at the City College of New York. The presentation educated the students, who held high interest in design, about solar power, the benefits of the Solar Roofpod for New York City, and the engineering systems. The high school students asked many insightful questions, even providing suggestions for how the pod could better be implemented. They also provided helpful feedback for the graphics of the project, which will also be graded in the Public Exhibit component of the competition.
