The interior of the house revolves around a central core that is the dominant spatial object. It separates private space from public space while providing all the RoofPod’s functional amenities such as kitchen, bathroom, bed, home entertainment, closets and work space, defining each area in the house. The core paneling is made from bamboo and the walls are poplar, sing easily renewable, fast growing, sustainable materials. The core’s rich tones create an accent which balances it’s juxtaposition with the lighter tones of the floor, wall and ceiling.
