In May 2011, student members of Team New York completed 10 hours of OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) training, in order to fulfill safety requirements as required by the OSHA construction guidelines. Students learned safe ways to work both independently and together on the site, in order to minimize the risk of accidents. The training was a course taught by various OSHA trainers, who showed us students the safety equipment required on site. They also prepared us in informing us of the best ways to remain cautious on site.
